Yeah...can you believe how quickly Mike is jumping back into sports...just kidding...but soon!So life is starting to really pick up here in the Kemp family! Last week we met with Mike's new doctor...Doctor Rosenblooth! He's amazing...and a lot younger than I would have expected! The appointment was all the way up at the U of U...and we almost didn't go...but he had been so strongly recommended by several people that we thought we ought to check him out...we were definitely not disappointed! He explained things that we never understood about SCI which really opened our eyes...he also told us about a program called TRAILS(Therapeutic Recreation & Independent Lifestyles) This program is awesome! They do hand cycling, snowmobiling tennis, camping, skiing, kayaking, fishing and a whole lot more! All for people with Spinal Chord injuries and their families. They have a camp out at the end of August. There they will have Wheelchair accessible tents...new accessible sports equipment to tryout...an RV that's fully adapted...Fishing...tram rides...a water tunnel tour...and it's all free...we're really excited to attend! Doctor Rosenblooth is heavily involved with the program and has done a lot for the SCI community!It's so nice to see all the options opened to you...it really does bring meaning to the phrase "when one door closes a window opens" or something like that...We are both way excited!

Wow, that's awesome. What a great variety of things you can aspire to. What a great achievement he has done by that swim too. It looks like it was very enjoyed. Keep at it Mike!!
That sounds really cool! That sounds like a great way to get to know other people in your shoes and have a ton of fun too!

All right, if I could just get over the fear of additional injury, those activities look like a blast.
That is so great that they have that out there tod o! It looks like there are some pretty insane crazy stuff...but so FUN!!! I bet it will be great to get to know others that are going through the same thing! Take care cutie!! Seriously if you ever need a fun time we can get the old gang together and do something (or we can just go tear up the town..hehehe)!!

I think that is soo awesome. What a great thing! To know there are other options out there and he can do physical things, of course! It will do until Mike walks again huh!
